Rd 400 F Daytona 1979 Model CDI spoilt

Hi,
I have a Rd 400 F Daytona. 1979 model.
My CDI has spoilt and will like to ask if the RD 250 model CDI can be fixed?
Also beside using the standard CDI, can we use other bike cdi? Any suggestion.
Saw on EBAY they have complete set of wiring with CDI, plug coil, magnet etc.
Do anyone in this group using this.

There are options for replacement CDI’s but which model Daytona do you have? 2V0, 3J7 or 3M4?

The Lc CDI look the same as the CDI Daytona , same wiring plug but one pair is switched . Same observation for the 1980 YZ125 CDI . A 2R9 RD400 78-79 should do .
