hi can the capacitor (if thats the correct name for it as i cant load a picture ) with two wires red/black be used on lc350 rather than battery ? what is the pros and cons please ? cheers

Where did you get this capacitor from? If you bought it on-line, maybe posting a link to it would help??

Yes you can use capacitors instead of battery, I made up one and used it while I waited for my dealer to get me a battery. I think I still have it. Will have a look tomorrow and put up a pic it was about the size of a fag packet.

yup they work - tested one on mine the other day - lights n indicators a bit dim n wobbly on tickover but fine when wound up

that looks a good idea.... does it give a stronger spark as stated.... or is that a bit of snake oil I'd say it's a blatant lie A battery eliminator will have no affect on the ignition as they are totally separate circuits The did is fed from the low and high speed windings on the stator, not the charge coils or the battery Steve
