"Would you run it" Part Deux ... Exhaust port weirdness

Whats going on here?

These are closeups of the ex ports on the "Would you run it" cylinders.  As far as I can tell these notches were present before I sent them off to the tuner.

Hmmm, but what about this?

Judging by the ex flanges, I've got an old, and a new cylinder, but both have the early notches?



How will this effect performance compared to the plain port roof?

Im wondering if someone matched the later barrel to the earlier one to get the port durations the same. The flaking casting creating the void is a worry tho :/

I reckon that's just the cast edge at the liner, wouldn't worry about it as the liner looks thick enough
