Does anyone know if 2R9 400F emulsion tubes and needles are the same as 4L0 350LC ones?
400 needles are 522-14116-01-00
LC350 needles are 4L0-14116-01-00
400 tubes are 360-14141-42-00
LC350 tubes are 4L0-14141-42-00

no they are completely different
The 400E/F needle is a 5J6 (NLA) and the 350LC is a 5K1
The LC needle jet is a 345-p2 (well for the later carb), but lets not split hairs, it is a non-shielded jet, the 400 one is shielded, iirc its a 284-O8

Got in touch with Allens to try and source some needles.
Dave at Allens says the 5L03 needle is NLA superseded by either a5L08 or a 5L01 but he`s not sure which one fits the Emulsion tube.
He says it`s a case of suck it and see.
Anyone had anything to with these.
Help and advice gratefully taken on board.

The only alternative to the 5J6 needles that I know of is the Cruzinimage ones, which people have apparently had good results using.
As for the emulsion tubes, as has already been mentioned, these are the 284-08 type, which I may have a spare pair of if you get stuck sourcing locally.
Another alternative might be to have your carbs modded by Spa Motorcycles. I have a pair of those fitted on my 400G and it goes really well after some set up work.

I have needles and emulation tubes so if you need any i have loads for all Air coolers including the E/F ones .
