Guys Does anyone have a Japanese manual, can photo & post a shot of the page that shows the CDI curve. I believe this is not a normal 1KT CDI the 00 ignition is unrestricted.
With a 1KT or 2MA does the power normally come in hard at 7000 or lower. My TDR 2CK was 6000. Thanks Keith

That's cool. Obviously not a stock bike though. The dyno charts I have went with the bike, but from memory it had a broad power band from 5.5 to 9k, then dropped like a stone. I used to race in what is now Yamaha Past masters on a heavily tuned 1XT. That made 56bhp at the back wheel, yet was really tractable when it wasn't eating rings Stock but gutted pipes as were legal at the time. Allegedly stock ignition too, but it had been opened for sure.

The 45 bhp was corrected power so would be std bike ? so long as it had a 00 CDI. Can you feel 5 bhp ... the way it is delivered yes.

I guess it depends on the dyno, but my stock (only change was swarbrick cans), 3XC with the 00 CDI made 39.something bhp on a dynojet on which a healthy TDR250 also made 40bhp.
My stock R1-Z died about 9k, nothing like either of those plots.

The TDR hit the brick wall at 10.Nice & safe.It did have TZR sprockets when I bought it & left it that way. 70 on speedo was 6000.Always wondered how many 3XC are in the UK & if still popular now.

Thanks wonder where it is now. Howard spent a lot of time & money on that one. Hope new owner treats it well.
