Hi All, I Know this has been done to Death Now, and I'm not sure whether to Spoil my Ok running 250, I have a set of 350LC Barrels, a Reconned Oil Pump and Worm Drive from Arrow, Double Dischelp Brakes, and a 350 Rear Wheel! Can I just put Up sized Jets in my 4LO Carbs or do I need to fit 350LC Caebs? Do you need to upgrade the Clutch? Just Noticed a Posting about used 31k carbs, Is that a worthwhile Mod??? Anyone help much Appreciated??? Cheers Sean G. 🤑

If your not sure, id suggest perhaps seeing if you can try a 350 and see if YOU think its worthwhile.
A well set up 250 is still a very nice thing indeed, I had the chance to use a std 250 for a week last year and in all honesty, it wasnt that far behind my 350 in terms of out right speed, the 350s torque is the most useful part of the changeover IMHO

If so, you do need to upgrade to the 350 ones. I suggest you go for the later 4L0-01 type if you do. Clutch is the same.

Personally I love 31k carbs.
I know the 4LO-01 carbs are the ‘correct’ carb to fit, but it’s not ‘correct’ anyway if it was a 250 to start with.
I use them on my LC and my F2.
I’ve even got two more sets to go on my next 2 projects.
Essentially they are the latest non powerjet carbs before I suspect the powerjets were introduced to try and lean the fuel off to a minimum. If you know how a powerjet work I think this is totally unnecessary on a small 26mm carb.
Back wheel isn’t essential, although I’d definitely fit it if you have it.

Also...twin horns and 350 decals for the side panels.

On the aircooled models the 350 studs are longer than the 250 ones (7mm I think), check if the LC's are the same.

Did this conversion myself in the 90`s, 250 carbs worked fine for racing with just main jets changed.
Only ever used that bike on the track though so cannot comment on suitability for road use.
