I just rebuilt a 77 rd 400 . 65mm wisecoes, chambers, intake and exhaust ported. Does anybody know what the average cylinder head temp should be while cruising ? I do have temp gauges on both heads

I have a CHT sensor under both plugs for my RD350 AC and they read anywhere between 150 deg C to 270 deg C. Speeds could be 90kph - 135 kph(true GPS speed) at either end, but it also depends on other factors like load, ambient temperature etc. Hope this gives a rough idea. I have found that each bike is different and even different heat range plugs affect these readings, so does jetting. You will find out what your bike is happy at.
