£422 is roughly the price of a new Lc tank, so not bad at all considering the distance involved Be interesting to see it fitted🙂

Mine's been sat at my local delivery office for the last two days. No sign of the ransom note yet. Will be interesting to compare charges - apart from the £12 'admin' charge. Yeah, mine got there last Friday, got the kidnappers demand yesterday (all 3 of them) Steve

Mine's just been delivered by ParcelFarce.
Looks good, and I have the same defect on the right rear edge of the tank. I'll check fit and see if it needs trimming. Might tidy it up anyway to keep OCD in check.
Debating whether to get a tank liner (POR-15) in there to stop E5/E10 screwing it all up.

Guys, I'm tempted to get one of these tanks but really need to know exactly just how close they are to the genuine Yamaha tanks. If you have the two side by side what differences in the shape, angles, curves can you see, I know about lower LHS problem.
I've already got a new RZ tank I bought in 1996 and 3 very good 84 LC2 tanks but if these are as good as people say I'd be interested in getting one!😁👍

I would leave it bare Never line a good tank Steve This seems like good advice. The main aim of linings is to make rusted porous tanks useable again but they seem to be endlessly problematic. Since the original lasted 40 years, it would seem the new one, which will probably be better looked after, would most likely outlast the rest of the bike. But I have heard of people nickel plating the inside of tanks to make them resist corrosion. I don't know anything about it though. Has anyone done that?

Ive ordered one as well... no free post to Aus, but we can still get seamail from webike Japan at a very reasonable £20ish for the tank.

An update... defo no free post to Aus.
In fact, it cant be shipped surface (seamail) either as they say the box size is too large and cannot be made smaller.
So, Ive had to pay the difference to have this come EMS. sigh...

not perfect and has a bit of a ripple on the top at the back, but not deep and easily filled or PDR'd I reckon. Will test fit on an LC2 soon.
