will an rd350lc ypvs stator side case fit a standard rd250lc stator side or can you make it fit?? looks very similar and a nicer shape to it , also looks like it would cover the gearbox piece that is always smashed during a chain break just above the sprocket......

Hi Check the replies in your other thread, but, physically the Pv plastic stator cover will bolt on, but you wont be able to actuate the Lc clutch as the mechanism for the clutch pushrod is in the Lc side case - Pv's is on the top of the crankcase so totally different. Also there is no extra part to a Pv case to cover the area of chain damage, so it's a no go really I'm afraid. Dusty

Hi Norbo sells quite a few different types of stator case for the Pv. They are primarily Banshee cases - there is a big market in trick parts for the Banshees thanks to their popularity in the states. Sadly the Lc didn't get the same treatment ! Your chain damage is repairable - my last engine build had been repaired by a previous owner and you would be hard pressed to realise it had been welded. The good thing regards the Lc stator case is it's alloy, so you can change the finish more easily than the Pv's standard plastic case. They look nice polished Dusty
