66mm on 31k Some say 66.5 on 1ua Steve dont suppose you have any advice on this problem by any chance steve , ta paul hi i know this is not a yam but im hoping someone can advise me on a problem im having on an 81 kz250 ltd kawasaki single iv just rebuilt , when i press the electric start button the starter motor was turning over the engine and starting now for some reason when i try to start it all im getting is the starter relay clicking , starter motor not turning over and this is the hard one the key in the ignition when trying to start the bike the key itself burns up hot enough to burn your fingers taking it out of the ignition (ouch) . iv fitted a new ignition , new starter motor in the build and iv also tried 2 other starter relays (second hand ) but still i have the problem , any ideas lads ? ps hope its ok to ask in this section . |

If the key is getting that hot there is too much current going through it
The starter power should not go through the ignition circuit (I think
Remove the starter motor and see if it spins or is knackered
Also see if the bike will bump start

Am I correct in saying barrels marked 31K are F1 and ones marked 1UA are F2
