Finally coughed up the bucks for a 3 vessal set of jis screwdrivers. What can I say. Used one today. The little serrations on the tip actually grips the screw. Had to pull them out of the screw head. Impressed .

Yes finally realised they are worth buying, got a full set last Christmas from the wife, and they work so much better (obviously)

Bear in mind that JIS as a standard is dead now, so they may well go by other names now.

Im always amazed people dont have them already, Vessel are great things and worth the money. I’m not convinced that everyone knows about them. Back in the day most people thought that jap screws were made from monkey metal and we’re shi*te, when in fact they were using the wrong screwdriver , me included 💩

Phillips screws don’t and are also designed to cam out when too tight and on a old engine/screw that’s generally the case LOL

There not designed to come apart after being built Jap Crap rubbish , but I bought a set of these propper jobs. Yep! They work even on screws that look manky a wise addition to any man's tool kit me thinks 😜
