Hi all. I bought a new shock for my 1980 250lc, cant remember where the hell from or how much, poss wemoto. On removing the old shock and comparing it with the new shock i have noticed that the new shock is shorter, i presume this is not correct? The shock is almost identical in looks etc, but then again all shocks are fairly similar.
Any advice greatly accepted.

Thanks for the replies chaps. Not sure if the shock on was original or not, would be suprised due to age. Anyone know the correct length of a standard shock?

Well i found my old shock and the measurement si 315mm centre to centre. The shock that i acquired is def shorter(oxon), maybe 10mm, and the box it came in says RD125LC. Now i did hear somewhere that a RD125LC shock was good for the RD250LC, was this advise pure bullshit.
Cheers.
PS, i bumped into a load of LC riders at Rivi Barn on good friday, what a good site to see, bikes not the blokes!

Suzuki SV650 2003- 9? Rear shocker is Very close to Identical measurements ..everywhere.. to a 4LO one... Except it's 3/4" Longer. Drill out both ends to 12mm and it's a drop in fit. Really! cheap on Flea bay as many SV owners swap 'em out within months of buying their SV's.
