Hi all, Ive recently purchased this bike a week ago, having always wanted a 250lc. I previously owned a RD250AC a few months back, though having had a fair amount of riding on it, struggled to get on with it really, then discovering crank lift, i decided, having saved up enough to buy an lc. The bike as seen in the pictures is a 250lc though converted to a 350 . So far i have only cut down the rear mudguard, removed mirrors, swapped carbs etc. Since the pics have been taken i have also correctly positioned the horns and made a few other alterations. The bike it's self doesn't seem to have had too many bodges from what i can see, however having brought the bike in the knowledge that it had apparantly been rebored, i'm extremely angry to discover tonight that it hasn't been and the bores/ piston&rings are v. worn/ scored. It also hasn't been converted correctly, still running a 250lc oil pump. Hope everyone enjoys viewing the pics.

Hi mate,
Despite your recent findings in the engine, i wouldnt be to dissapointed cos thats a cracking looking bike and certainly worth spending a little more on.
Have a word with Norbo and replace those jubilee clips on the carb rubbers for the proper Yam ones.
Sort out the rings/bores and oil pump, add a summer and you will be grinning like a cheshire cat. ;D

It looks great typer196 but, like twostroker, I winced when I read that you had cut the rear mudguard . Still, each to their own. It's a lovely bike.

Cheers for the comments everyone. I'm certainly planning to have some serious fun on it this summer! ;D Norbo's sorted me out with a few goodies, the barrel's are with him at the moment for a rebore, with new piston &rings will be fitted when back on road. Ive also taken the bottom end apart to renew the crank seals, to be on the safe side! Also discovered at the time the crank's been welded in the past and all bearings feel good. Ive also recently managed to get hold of some nice 31k carbs from vin, and a 350lc oil pump. I'm not really interested in changing all the parts to NOS, i like to keep certain parts standard however in my opinion some standard parts just don't do the bike justice (like the rear mudguard)

Hi all, just a few updated pics having been doing a bit of work on it recently. New parts i have recently fitted to it are: 1. Hagon proggresive fork springs 2. freshley powder coated top yoke and clock mount rubber kit. 3. Metamachex swingarm and new spindle 4."Olive" green carb and reed rubber clips, lol. 5. Torque arm, ally polished finish 6.Iris X ring and sprockets with st/st locking tabs. 7. "Olive" green rad cap If anyone on here has fitted one of Norbo's Kawasaki type steering dampers to a 350lc with twin horns, could you let me know how, as im finding the left hand twin horn restricts the clamp from being able to sit around the stansion, though possibly spacing out the horn may work? Cheers Scott

Cheers for the comments everyone. Thats a fab looking bike you have there bertiemollie, really nice. Well Gaz, in the future there are a few other bits and bobs i'd like to do: 1. engine casings re- powdercoated 2. Fit a proper pro-am belly pan 3. Remove powdercoat and spray paint topend
and a few other bits, regarding the ypvs, not sure, heard they make it too much like a 4 stroke? i like the character of the bike at the mo and the kick into the powerband! lol :-)
