Im ready to start tapping into wires.
Ive removed the existing speedo, so i have these wires free to tap into.
The wires I need
1 - 12v
2 - switched power, so the new speedo turns on and off with ignition
3 - ground
Suggestions welcome, and arrows on the LC diagram would be perfect
Many Thanks

I will upload one, but please take into account it was less than £50, well £42 to be exact.
My only intention was to have a speedo on the bike that worked, after spending what I have on the bike I was not going down the koso route. Its not perfect, but I am pleased with myself, again I have no experience, and just locating the correct wires, for me was a good learning.
It is accurate, I put an old battery on my knee in the car and checked it when we went to the shops!!!

It looks OK to me. Does it work via GPS/satellite technology then otherwise your test in the car may not match up to the bike's wheels/rotations?

Found some info on these now on ebay of course lol. Actually plenty of new options on there for those who might need something like this.
Question now is, Derek, where did you put the GPS receiver?

Ive just bought the black version of this for my 421 as Ive always wanted a digital speedo cos of all the speed limits and cops here, but also my LC speedo driven by the RGV wheel wasnt exactly 'accurate'. lol
Will report back on his it goes but they get ok reviews from what I saw.

I dont think the rolling radius is the same and it'd be off. If others have found it is spot on then I apologise as I was sure its not.

I "accidentally" got it right on my 31k hybrid Thought it would be out with the 17 inch wheel but when checked with GPS it is doing 69mph when the Speedo reads 70 mph The "accident" was using an fz600 speedo (was the only Speedo in the N style I could find NOS) As the fz uses a 16 inch front wheel with a 100/90 tyre it is the same as 17 inch with 110/70 Steve

Wow, that was lucky Steve!
I will check the rolling radius one day but I always assumed the RGVs 17 would be smaller than the LCs 18. Not but a lot, but 'enough' etc.

Mine arrived, Ive got the black version. I also tested it worked but less scientifially, grasping a battery and taping the wires and then briskly walking on my driveway with the speedo and the receiver, worked ok. for the money for a digital readout of speed Im happy. Just got to fit it in the cluster now, the legs are M4 and almost the right length and spacing of the original tacho's M5 versions but I'll probably cut em off and do something else lol
Thanks Dereck for posting this, Id given up on a gps digi speedo a while back, looks like the world caught up with my dreaming lol

I like the gps option. Because there is no need for extra speedo wires. I fitted a low budget (20€) electronic tacho. This came with a magnet speedo pickup. It works fine. But speedo pickups with wires are always fulnerable. Here a pic for inspiration.

Love it, couple that with the GPS unit and youre away!
Bear in mind you need to find a location for the GPS antenna...

My tacho has a digital speedo in it. I agree this helps to keep speed in certain zones. On track i only use the tacho😋
