Finally found the reason why my Rd350lc runs naff at tick over and slow speed it is a faulty plug cap, wanted to replace like for like but a new OEM cap £25 and i would replace both so . Anyway thinking of buying a pair of NGK caps either rubber type or normal and a set of BR9ES plugs and if the caps are small enough may even get the original metal surrounds over them - dunno. Anyone know the pluses of using a BR9ES over a BR8ES that i'm currently using?

The BR8 is a colder Rated plug than the BR9 Google NGK and the website will explain it. I personally prefer the silicon type with a fitting to accept the larger screw on fitting that is supplied with the plug. These tend not to wear out so quick due to the vibrations of a high revving engine. I also use the B9EG version because the were recommended by the first tuner I used. The EG version has a smaller electrode and tend to be cheaper to buy. The only time I have had problems with my plugs is when I have had a premix ratio of 28:1 and go out for a gentle poodle with the cafe racer brigade. I change my plugs roughly every 6 months.
