As title
Need a crank for my next ypvs build
The one in the bargain engine I bought is seized so rebuild will probably be 300 - 360
There are mitaka's about for 300 -340 but don't trust all sellers to actually supply a map crank and not a cheap Taiwanese one
I've found hotrods banshee cranks for 337 delivered so wondered about the quality

hotrod cranks are fine, be wary of some of the unbranded ones, I have some 4mm stroked cranks on the shelf - if of any interest !!

An OEM crank is just over $400 in the USA, even with post and taxes thats not much more and a known quantity.

I've got one of Norbo's Jap ones- great quality and at £345 I think it's a no-brainer. PLUS if it fails you can always go and chuck it through his front window! Only joking Norbo.

A genuine Yama crank CAN be rebuilt And.. one can expect 20,000kms at least out of a Brand new one. Cheaper (and not that much cheaper truth be told) Fakes.. many cannot be rebuilt.. period. Some mebe once. Buy cheaper buy twice Kids

Hot rod crank parts webs rods ets are made in taiwan . they used to come with tai bearings on aswell. think hot rod replace them with jaop bearings now . There is nothing wrong with some tai stuff a lot is made over there now and built to a quality, not like the old days .

I've got a Hotrods Crank from Martin in my grey Hybrid. Supposed to be American made rods, flat cage silver coated TZ style big ends and 10 ball outer mains on Clutch and Flywheel sides It's done a few years now, including a few track days and numerous trips to the IOM TT. No probs so far
