Hi All I've wired up my new Loom and it's on the bench to test. I do not have a connection to the bike which has the alternator on. All's good apart from no stop lamp from either switch or oil level warning light * I've tried / checked the following, in order : Stop/tail Bulb, both elements sound Wiring to bulb holder correct as per diagram Wiring between the two stop switches (right lever & foot brake), correct as per diagram.
The only thing that occurs is that one of the brown wire circuits (which feed each switch) also feeds the neutral and oil level lamps and one of the return conductors from the oil level / neutral is open - the one that connects to the neutral switch (which is on the bike and not my bench). Does this have an effect brake light performance, ie does the circuit have to connect to the neutral switch to make the oil level warning sender and stop light work? The horn and relay work good.
*with the oil level sender here on the bench, it's not sitting immersed in oil in its tank, but just laying in open air - I'm assuming it works when the two level sensors no longer have the continuity of oil to make a connection?
