Within a couple of weeks the patch was a bit bigger than a cd round the cap but i think its mainly cos i got it sprayed with water based paint so if any liquid gets to it it jst peels

Within a couple of weeks the patch was a bit bigger than a cd round the cap but i think its mainly cos i got it sprayed with water based paint so if any liquid gets to it it jst peels waterbased has been used by all car/bike manafacturers sinse the early 1990's and german cars even earlier, the problem is most likley due to occure when using cheaper materials than originaly used by a original manafacturer ie top quality 2k clear coat goes up to £500 for 5 litres and as cheap as £9 per litre for entry level quality products that polish up as good as top end stuff.its like every thing you get what you pay for ive been there done both,my rd was all budget products,my current car budgut stuff but when i in a body shop using top stuff every day i repainted my ols car for about £600 which was the paint materials alown . my rd125lc has got a tiny yellow stain around the petrol cap, luckely hidden under the cap o il live with it. sorry to sound like a geek guys
