This is not really relevant to your chassis but i fitted one to my 4LO chassis and it works very good plus you have lots of damping adjustment

They are good shocks, I've got one in an FZR 400 3TJ and putting one in a F2 YPVS / 3xv hybrid.

Will any model R6 work in the 4lo or just certain years?

Will any model R6 work in the 4lo or just certain years? I had to modify the top chassis mount for the shock and loose the air box and battery casing. Plus i mounted it upside down without realising this was wrong. If i knew about the shock being upside down i would have thought of something else. It does how ever work well and more capable than my riding skills Modified top chassis rail Small mod on TZ swing arm

Dont worry its longer. It gives a lot of sag. This evening i rode both sides of the centrestand to the ground. I had to adjust the preload. I hope its enough to withstand the Zandvoort track. 🤪

That looks pretty trick.. does it make any difference fitting it USD?, doesn't look as if it would fit the RWU. I found quite a lot of good info on this subject elsewhere on here. I'll be boring and go with a Hagon or YSS but thanks for the pics. Always good to see other ideas.

Interesting adaptation What Swinger is that? Must add though :-) that the shock geometry looks 'wrong' imo. It isn't tangential to the arc of the swinger. Looks as a Problem in need of a fix.. At least as seem from the pix.

I had been using the bike for almost two year before i realised. I got in touch with a suspension specialist and they told me it would work fine. I just have more unsprung weight the way it's fitted
