not all engines hit when the cam belt snaps,an example of this old 8v vauxhall engines found in astra,,cavaliers etc when the belt snaps you can simply fit a new belt and good as new. i havent got a clue about renault engines but its woth looking into it. surley a second hand head is worth fitting if the car has got long mot etc?

The cam belt went in the mother in laws megane, and it trashed a good few valves. It is probably cheaper to get a new head from the scrappy or ebay.

Rang the scrap yard picking it up tomorow cost more to fix than the cars worth oh well.If i spent as much money replacing bikes as cars over the years ive brought 1 bike in 16 years and about 6 cars i would have an r1 by now.
