Any idea how to asdjust the head bearings when using Mito forks ? I know it sounds daft but no external thread on the steering tube and no clamp on the top yoke where it fits over the steering tube.

I’ve Mito forks in my X7, made my own stem but doesn’t a bolt fit in the top of the stem and you tighten it?

Not sure then as I made my own stem to fit when I tighten my bolt it pulls the roller bearings tight.

So how do you adjust the free play and lock the adjustment ? I made my stem sit lower than the yolk so when nipped up it takes the free play. On Facebook there’s a mito page, worth a join and ask?

Thanks for the reply but I dont do Facecloth, the only time you can fully tighten a ventre bolt with taper rollers is if you have a sleeve between the two inner races or like a car wheel bearing when the innner races touch, any other way will over thghten the bearings and damage the tracks plus give pretty poor handling.

That’s mine, just slightly less than the yoke so when tight just right.
