Hi guys, so I've got the bits back from NK and today dropped bottom yoke in, I'm not sure what the setup is regarding the C nut under top yoke. Are you guys using a flat nut or the stepped one like I have? I see a guy on ebay selling both types so want to be sure I buy the correct one or ones.... are you all using 2 or one? Interesting question. I assume you mean the nuts done up with a c spanner or similar.
My F2 YPVS has one, while FZRs have two and a little forked washer in between.
Strange Yamaha did it different ways? Although maybe they decided two were better from a certain date, but I can confirm this as I’ve not seen modern Yamahas.

My RD500 also has two with a lock tab. Going back to the RGV mix, it appears there is too much thread to go into the recess of the top yoke, so can anybody with an RGV front end confirm if its one or two nuts and if it matters which way up they go please.
Thanks, Phil

Hi Phil this is a pic of my 4LO with an RGV top yoke As you can see it looks slightly different to yours and here is a pic of my 31k frame with an NK racing yoke to take GSXR400 forks, which are very similar to RGV However they both just have one nut/locking ring securing them under the yoke. I am pretty sure the locking ring is LC/YPVS but i cannot remember exactly! HTH Mouse
