Do you think my site is hard to navagate ? I was talking to abloke who makes web sites and he says it is . I know it could do with some things redoing but as im used to how it is and i know the nav bar anf how to get to the shop and so on i think its fine but to a new person who does not im not sure any more . He was talking about a shoping basket and seting it up so it so you can just click on the itom to add to basket then it calqlates the combined post for the itoms at the end . This would be grate but after he het up the first page with an itom on i would have to do all the rest. He thinks i should redo the entire site every page everything. He says to remove the movie at the top of the main page as it gives him a head ake . Does it ? I dont know im used to it all now i think it makes the site stand out to others but then im byest ar'nt I . So its a honest question and i wont be ofended if you think its crap and hard to get around on i just what to know if i should do it or not . Or may be just change a few thing s. Im not realy very good at redong stuff so i would have to pay this bloke who is a nice chap to get the new site started then no doubt take me months to redo it all.

i think from my point that a shopping basket with postage and parts prices would be very handy and would save u time going through all the emails/pms looking for price on stuff and postage.also are parts in stock??u could have paypal incorporated(good word that!) into it. it did take me a good while to get used to site at first but so did rd site aswell. but above would be all that i would change. above all its a class site and there are no smart ass's on here, and people are very helpful. i think once u dont loose sight of the fact that some people on here (i include myself!) are learning as they go along and people including u norbs mate are willing to help someone out...........right, im going to write a book on the subject ;D

The problem is the bloke wont just do a shop page for me so ican keep the web site the same and just have a link to a new shop page from a new link on the nav bar he says i will have to have a compleat new site layed out like he makes them. and i realy only want to re do the shop side of things . It could cost quight a bit as ell if i get him to do it .

i know what u mean.maybe just leave it as is then.im only been a bit picky.but u did ask,LOL.but it would be very helpful to have postage rates up there aswell, but dunno how u would do it for every part and every country you send stuff to.

Well / What i would like is to fined the time to build one of my bikes . If i get an basket type parts page that calqlates the post i can get my mum to do it as people wont need to ring and mail for post price and she can do it for me. I will still have to do any advice and sutch on the phone and mails and i like doing that but im trying to free up more time . I just dont whant to have to do the entire site only the parts page. But i have no idea how to do the basket and post thing my self.

I don't have a problem navigating the site apart from i have the forum in my favorites but cant seem to get back to the main parts page from the forum.I put this down to me being an idiot though to be honest The site as it is now seems to somehow seem friendly and close knit if you know what i mean.

I used to run my mk1 escort owners club website a few years ago and i used to learn as i went along, but i upgraded my software to dreamweaver mx and went on and did a ten week course on it at my local adult education place, once i had the hang of that i did a course on macromedia fireworks and flash, it might be worthwhile thinking about this mate it's a great piece of software and you can save yourself a fortune by doing the site yourself. I think your website is great too but if you want to upgrade it might be worth while thinking about.

The site is dreamweaver and the movie at the top is flash . But i must admit a friend did the movie not me LOL. I think i will ask the bloke if he can just set up the shop side of it and i will pay for a proper web host so the totel of the site is rd lc crazy not the free host from ntlwourld.

Well I have decided to go for it !!!!!!!! Im going to ask this bloke to do the new basket style shop that does the post and everything for you . Im going to ask him to do a new home page and nav bar.
I will still have to put all the itoms in the shop and move many thing from the old site to the new one but he will lay the format out for me and bring around the soft ware to run the site .
It will cost quite a lot even if i have to put most of the itoms on the site, but after talking to a friend of mine . im going for it .
Things have moved on a lot since i started the site so i think i fresh look is caled for.It will still take months for him to do it and then even longer before i have found the time to put all the shop stuff and other pics and info on the new site . but i think by the end of summer may be it will be ready .
I just hope it looks good and still retanes the feel. but it should do as i will keep the back ground the same and the content will still be the same. but when i get the new shop done i will have more time on my hands so can put more time in to fetures on the site .
There are so many thing i whant to do on the site but never gget arond to .
I whant to ad a pipe page with pics of all the pis for ID perposes. I propper tuning page with specs and stuff.
Any way fingers crossed it will all work out and i dont get that horred sinking feeling you get when you have done something stuped.

I think you're doin the right thing, and hopefully it'll increase business! But no putting prices up to get your money back on the site design!

It should be good, give you more space and more money, and make life easier as it'll give the customer an instant cost including p+p

Just had a look at the new site. I have butterflys in my chest about it . Its coming along nicely i changed the outer background to the marble one we use on hear and the main site . But its only a border now the main site id plane white. I like the way he has layed out the nav bar and it has the pop out one side thing going on as welll that i like .
But even after he has done everything he is doing it will still take me a couple of months to fill the shop . I need to photo everything all over again waigh them all and make a link page for every itom . bloody hell and do all the basket stuff and pay pall links. Just hope im up to the job.
It looks a bit diferent but i have with the help of the builder tryed to keep some of its charm . by using the same rd lc crazy and tuning forks that i have now at the top and he will try and put my movie in as well.
I just hope you lot like it .

Then i have to photo every iton forsale again and put them in the new shop with the basket thing and waigh them all for the post calqlater.
Loads and loads to do but i will get on like a Lez at an ann summers party. Hopfully get it something like a few weeks after i get the prrgram from the builder . But he is afay now for 3 weeks so will be 3 weeks now befor i even get the web builder to get started on.
