wanting to upgrade to some blue spot calipers for my lc, which ones ? r1 r6 fazer etc.

All the blue spot calipers are the same as far as R1/R6 blue dot. I think even early FZ1, are the same. Gold spot calipers are also same except they have alum brake Pistons instead of the steel ones in the blue dot.

what year of bike must they come from thinking of the r6 calipers and mk racing adapter plates

I got mine off a 99 R1. I think any of the early R1/R6's would do

hi srhiskx, iv gone with MT07 calipers and handlebar equipment ie reservoir and clutch pivot purely because theyr more modern

Good choice. When I stalled my R1 calipers I had to upgrade the M/C also. With the stock master the brakes felt a little wooden. I went with a master cylinder off an FZ1 2005. Inexpensive and kept the mirror mount in stock position . Solved the wooden feeling.

I use early Fzr 250 or 400 four pot calipers on my valve with standard size front tyre no issues .The FZ1 master cylinder sounds like a good idea though.
