Hello All,
I am new here.
I recently bought a '77 Yamaha RD 125 DX. It is in a overall good condition and has low mileage. But with checkup i noticed that the oil pump is leaking. I plan to repair the pump (or send it for repair), but i the meanwhile i will run on premix. Is it ok for a RD to run on premix and what ratio oil/fuel i should use?
Thanks in advance,
Sonny

The ratio aspect is a bit of a minefield, I've seen the following quoted on here, 25:1 30:1 35:1 and 40:1
I recently run my 350LC on 25:1, just for a short time, to check that oil were actually getting through to both carbs.

Send your pump to Arrow and get it back better than new.
If running premix, you are likely to need to re-jet your carbs.

If you run on premix even for a short time you will need to remove the oil pump wormshaft and blank off the hole.
