his bike overall wasn't to bad just need a engine rebuild.
simple right.
this being my fist LC twin that i have owned and the last time i mess about with these bikes was nearly 30 years ago.
my old boss had blue and white rz350r and he wanted to sell it but i was only earning yts money £35 perweek!
but i did ride it a few times and loved it.
being a jap import seeing the light light come on a 80k was a great feeling! this bike was fast it was fitted was JL lomas pipes
when i pick this up (may 2017) i was pleased only a few little jobs to do really and just ride it.
The guy said i should just ride it home it was only 75 miles ish.
the bike had been restore a few years ago but i knew i would change some things he had done including that nice front mudguard
but i put it in the back of the van
after dropping the oil which had water in it and the engine was a bit nosy clutch and top end.
i got a bit carried away and took the engine out which was big surprise to the wife as she thought i would riding it very soon.
so i sent the engine off for a rebuild was some called NS motorcycles which charge me a arm and a leg for doing work it never really needed doing.
learnt a lot from that. just do it your self!
i could see that someone had done a lot of the work for me powder coating and buying a nice new shock
that is when the problems started.
Gary the guy i got it was a nice guy and left my a fuel tank of fuel and kinda went against me really.
so next it was off to mark cordwell for fixing.
he soon made me aware that the bike was painted up with a bikini model and the fairing was correct.
so now all the panels are with mark for painting.
i was never happy with the front nose cone and head bracket as it was all bent and half the bolts never lined up
so got in contact with a guy called Paul recommend by mark that does these new plastic ones.
while waiting for the panels i changed the front brake calipers and put the engine back in
also i wanted to changed the clocks back tho the original ones and luckily the guy also gave these to me.
plus they have the red light that comes on when you have that powerband feeling 80k!
after getting the engine back from ns i was starting to change my mind and wanted this bike to be a 350
so with the help of markhoopy supplying me the 350 barrels the conversion started.
now its just a waiting game of getting the panels back or so i thought.
since then the fork of lost all there oil from the seals and i am in two minds what to do with them as they are a little pitted too.
the front Tyre keeps going down even after having both of the tires removed and the rims cleaned up.
