Just about to start a mahussive build on my home (well my builder is ) this means me my wife, son and 4 dogs have got to move into a static for appprox 9 months. Looking at buying rather than renting then re selling. I need to transport it to my address and then get it hooked up. Anyone ever done this? who did you use? Was it expensive? Any other tips for living in one? Cheers

If you plan for 9 months make sure it's available for 18 months. Any coastal caravan site will have them up for sale. As long as you have access for a massive truck to roll it off, and someone to push it in place you will be OK. Then you need to connect to utilities, which has a 2 or 3 month lead time.....and a waste pipe into the drains. Are they combined foul and surface drains ?

Was going to say check with local caravan sites
They will probably have old traded in vans to punt
They usually have to pay to have them taken off site so a deal to be done.
At this time of year they are hammering owners to upgrade (been getting it from them since Oct)

Cheers phil unfortunately I have 4 dogs as well so a 2 bed is just too small. I have looked at ebay etc, they are about 8K for a decent one. Thanks Tim

If you can stretch to it get one with gas central heating and double glazing
Without thàt you will be living in a cold damp box
Will also resell easier
