im not a happy bunny,i passed my bike test the other day so i was all happy with my self thinking, mmm il get my self a 350pv after xmas, untill i got stopped by 3 community support officers in a old red fiesta that was covered in mud,i was riding my mountain bike at roughly 5pm and they stopped me,3 of them jumped out the car and and they got realy angry and came across fairly agressive, i thought to my self they must have the wrong person but no i was wrong they issued me a £30 fie for no lights . it wound me right up as i only rode it from one end of the road to the local shop and it wasnt even realy dark, absolute wast of tax payers money, the country is in recession, millions of people being made redundant and tax payers money is being wasted paying these "wanna be police" that drive round ripping off innocent people,i wouldnt mind if they were sorting real crime like fraud, drugs, drink driving etc> a few months back they fined a bloke i work with for dropping a fag butt on the floor sorry if any of you members are pcso's but in my eyes its just picking on easy targets

I didn't think they had powers under the road traffic act! Complain about their attitude! i havent got a clue about the law but i do train down the local gym with 5 or 6 local police (real police, not community support officers) so il have a word with them about this nonsence, just for a easy life il pay the £30 but ive got to say watch out for the pcso's they will try stick a fine on anybody forany nonsence offence

At the end of the day you pay their wages, if you want to complain about their attitude then write to the chief constable!
They have a duty to give you a certain amount of respect even if you have done something wrong, and as for driving around in a dirty old car, well, it doesn't do much for you opinion of the force!
The reason they're not doing anything about proper crime is they haven't got the same powers as a real police officer!

jazzy, the flashing speed signe thing is so funny, these pcso's are a complete waste of time lol, i should go report them but its my word against 3 of them and at the end of the day i had no lights on my push bike so il just pay it. best thing i can do is keep an eye out for there 3 unmarked cars,1=white fiesta,2=red fiesta,3=smart car. my neighbour calls them the"plastic police" lol

do not be afraid to take on the 'establishment'. last year i won a 2 year battle against a mobile speed camera (53.9 in a 40), yet i WON. seriously i would complain, a letter about the car, attitude of acpo's and TIME of stopping. the system works for both sides IF you are willing to 'go for it'. best of luck (if you do) Jamie

You'll have to pay the fine, or go to court, but you can still complain!

I didn't realize they could even fine you :oI always tend to just ignore the specials and find it hard to take them seriously. I'd definately take it further as the impression i get is the real police don't seem to have much time for them either.

www.essex.police.uk/advice/v_con_01.phpFollow the link above, it should give you all the information you need! Probably best not to complain about the fine, but, the way you were spoken to and treated!

i dont mind real police, they have to do a lot of training to do ther jobs and the majority of police are usualy ok as long as they are treated with some respect but these community support guys and specials are a different kettle of fish unfortuantly.

well it looks like its police-2 twostroker-0 at the monent. i got caught speeding at the weekend in my car 47mph im a 30mph zone, absolutley gutted as it was a long open stretch of road along side a nature reserveno foot path so no pedestrians,7.30pm so the area was free from other road users etc the sneaky traffic police parked the patrol car out of site from the main road and the 2 coppers set up the usual sneaky trap where one hides behind a bush with the speed gun and the other copper is waiting up the road (on foot by the side road by ther car) to pull you over, totaly gutted admittidy i was speeding i hold my hands up but i was running late for a mates birthday party because of my misses farting around as usual when half way through the journey she starts winging that we must go back home to collect some hair extension glue,we doubled back and headed off again and literaly git vaught 2 minuites from my house.
put me in a stinking mood for the evening, £90 in police fines in 2 months and i just god my existing 3 points removed so now im back up to 3 again,im going to invest in one of them "road angels" or "snoopers" to help me dodge any more fines.
i do feel guilty for breaking the limit and its honestly not in my nature to drive fast these days, could of been worse i suppose.

any recomendations of a good radar detector? snooper, road angel etc? i m ostly need it to catch out the sneaky mobile camera,s as i kno where most of the local static cameras are,yes im aware its probaly not fully legal to use a radar detector but seen as the police hide behing bushes etc i see it as fair play lol
