Hi Can anyone point me to the specs for the 250 E carbs please? I need to know what the part numbers for the following are please: Needles Jets Main Jets Pilot Jets Needles Also I will need the standard settings to make adjustments I want them to be stock and will try and get all genuine parts if available from Australia although I'm not sure that's possible. I went for a ride this morning and to be honest I was quite disappointed with the performance the bike was very un responsive and didn't feel right it felt like it was either coked up or the carbs were set up wrong, I have spoken to the guy who rebuilt the bike and he used the dreaded Yambits word so I'm not holding my breath I just hope he didn't use their main bearings and oil seals otherwise its a strip down and rebuild I'll do a leak down test shortly and keep my fingers crossed. Cheers Paul

Sorry to hear that your new bike is not meeting your expectations Paul, the carb specs are in the skills centre.
Hopefully some fettling will have it sorted and don’t forget to whip your balls out while you’re at it! 😳
Hope you have a good New Year and all the best for 2018.

Hi Mark Happy New year to you too buddy. I'm not that un happy with the deal I got, I always cost in an engine strip when I buy a two stroke especially when someone tells me they have done a rebuild themselves, on a whole the bikes all there and correct and requires very little to make it mint. I've been reading up about whipping my balls out do you know what size I will need to replace and where I could get some from? seems like worth doing, I have just ordered some new parts for the carbs so I'll put them back to standard and am in the process of ordering some stuff from Norbo's sweetie shop. Just to top it off I went for another ride this morning and the bloody speedo packed in lol lets hope this bike isn't jinxed. Cheers for the tip on the skill centre, I spent New years eve reading some post's I had a ball but the wife looked pig arsed bored Cheers Paul Sorry to hear that your new bike is not meeting your expectations Paul, the carb specs are in the skills centre. I am sure you will get it sorted quickly enough Paul. Coincidentally, the speedo on my LC died during a long ride out on Friday and then when I got home, I realised that my battery wasn’t holding charge, so there’s two new jobs to add to the list. Bloody old bikes eh?
I must be a glutton for punishment though, as I sealed the deal on a 400E project yesterday, so it looks like I will be in the poorhouse for a while longer yet! 😜
The brass balls are 5mm diameter but I followed a forum recommendation and tapped the passageways so I could fit M5 grubscrews (I got mine off Evilbay), which will be easier to remove and refit next time around. If you go down that path, be sure to install them with some low strength threadlock.

You can tap somthing near a fully formed thread of an M5, then use M5 brass grub screws. I’d use a dab of locktite on either method. Jon
