Bike is looking great Andy. Can't help but notice you have one of those precision hammers in most of your rebuild pics. The best item for fine adjustment IMHO lol! Keep it up buddy and can't wait to see it finished. Totally agree, great tool, couldn't live without my 1/4 drive set

Andy, out of interest were there very small bubbles in the powdercoat? I had a set done and there were only a few bubbles, but disappointing none the less. Might also decide to paint my next set. Jon

I'll be interested to see how you get on with the R1 clocks fitting, your speed sensor fitting looks nice and tidy. Bike looks good.

20180409_172534 by andrew mcgarvey, on Flickr need to replace the headlight brackets, just dont think they look right. i have also had a fair bit of hassle from a company called mcspeed for a pair of short levers, emails and phone calls, no reply, took up a claim through paypal and got a refund, struggling to find a set, anyone recommend a place, should have the bike running by the weekend, still trying to decide on a colour, changing my mind like the weather. cheers andy

This is looking great!
Regarding short levers, i use Pazzo ones, they are not the cheapest, but do long and short versions with lots of colour combos plus really well made, the only problem is they do not list a fitment for RGV perches, i use GSXR600 K1-3

Looking good mate. Love that colour scheme with the allspeeds. Old school with a very modern twist. On the road soon by the look of it

Hi Andy, the joys of the final straight of the rebuild are set to test us Ha!!.You spend as much time again going over the wee niggles to get it just right on but don't give up as it is always worth it in the end. 50/50 on some Chinese stuff- either top kit or piss poor. The chance ye take I'm afraid.

Thanks Dusty and yogi, nearly done, already thinking of the next project, I've got about 80% of the parts to build it, it's going to be as standard as possible 31k, same style as the new addition that mouse got, would love to try and get it like the one midlife crisis has just posted, but that might be a step to far

Hi Andy, the bike looks awesome mate, well done. How did you get on with the R1 clocks? easy enough? what speed sensor did you use? I still wonder what chance of using a KOSO unit into the speedo drive, would be easier then the sensor in L/H engine case.

Phil Hi Phil, R1 clocks set up is straight forward enough, all the info is in the other thread, using the healtech v4 speed healer, I think the koso would be easier Cheers Andy
