Hi everyone, I have recently purchased this bike having been looking around for a 250cc for a while. I initially had my heart set on a RD250LC, however with the ridiculous prices they are going for now, i found they were a little out of my budget. Then this RD250F popped up literally about 1 mile from my front door! The bike has many non- original parts, however i see it has potential, as a plan to restore it over a period of time. It has had a few butcherers on it in the past! however nothing i can't put right. It has 10 months MOT, and hopefully if i pass my test in the next couple of weeks i can begin to ride it in the new year - weather permitting! + with the odd bit of work it needs here and there. Any comments welcome. Scott

Well done Scott , I had the 250DX many many moons ago , these bikes are fantastic and there are plenty of "aircooled forums" out there that can help with advice etc. Parts are pretty cheap and mostly still available. , they do look fantastic in KR yellow/black livery

Nice one, that looks pretty tidy. I used to race one of those with a 350 top end on it up here in Scotland. You can get them to be really quick. Try Johnny at PGM for parts for them, he does mail order & he has a load of stuff for them.
Good luck with your test.
Col.

Thanks for the comments chaps. Jonny at PGM seems a sound bloke, managed to get hold of a standard airbox from him recently.

To be honest mate i'm trying to work that out myself, their not allspeeds for sure, they certainly look racy enough but mine are a little battered! just need to mess about with my jetting as i have just put the standard airbox back on.
