Steve H Have you used the Aspen fuel in your LC? Nope.....but it goes in my windy and rotavator, and multi tool. No trouble starting the rotavator anymore! Can only offer my experience with it.....not somebody else's hearsay.....The rotovator was a particular b*****d to start up every May. Now I just leave aspen in it all the time.....and in the time (3 yrs) that I've put aspen in it, it has fired up in 2 pulls of the cord with none of the swearing and threatening it with a lump hammer, stripping the carb, taking the plug out ect. (I'm sure it used to think it was a two stroke!!)

Early 1050 speed triples had plastic tanks 2005-2008 I believe, triumph then changed to steel. Mine is 2006 which I bought new.Never had a problem until about 4 years ago, when the tank started "growing" Had to bend bracket on frame back to fit tank back on now. It's "grown" about 7mm to 8mm. Still looks good though,my mates Ducati tank is full of lumps and bumps!!!!

Never tried it but I once heard that you should stick a half litre of surgical spirit in the tank
As it is soluble in water and petrol it solves the water absorbsion and then the ethanol going off and the water depositing
Probably bullshit

Just a thought, what about using WD40 in the carbs?

Has anyone tried "Seafoam". I have used this in my bikes for both cleaning the fuel system and as a fuel stabiliser. It can be used in two stroke, four stroke and diesel motors alike, and it says lawnmowers!! On Amazon it's £17+ per can but I did a Google search and found it for £6.99. Maybe worth a look.

Always fill mine full with super unleaded, start them every now and then, never had a problem.
