Starting another rebuild though not mine, doing for a friend. Had it here a year but he is now wanting it built as got wheels which are with NK to fit to RGV banana arm and forks. Will have Zeel All in One and don't know what pipes yet. IMG_5044 by Bryan Haynes, on Flickr
just had quick look over engine, came with clear clutch conversion and mostly stainless bolts, will get a set of Norbo's tuning fork head bolts after a wash and polish of side cases. Untitled by Bryan Haynes, on Flickr Untitled by Bryan Haynes, on Flickr
I love this part of a rebuild, when every thing starts going back together, and you make huge progress with every part added Worst bit for me is all the fiddly bits you put off to the last (electrics in my case !!) Looks like it's going well - your mate will be well pleased
Yokes complete, fitted with Renthal low rise 758 bars, RGV hose splitter and LC hose guide. Untitled by Bryan Haynes, on Flickr This may get sprayed black, down to Steve. Untitled by Bryan Haynes, on Flickr
The servo motor is an easy strip and clean, just try to keep it as together as you can when you split the case or it will take you a while to work out how it all fits back in, but if it does fall apart its not rocket science, just a puzzle
Package from Norbo arrived today with most of the bits to complete frame assembly, YPVS engine and electrics. Untitled by Bryan Haynes, on Flickr I wasn't expecting this though! What axle size are the wheels? I ask as Ive CBR wheels and they are differently sized than the RGV setup, pretty much the opposite sizes actually. Ive been looking at oversize bearings / sleeves etc and so far have no definitive solution.
Hi jonw the wheels are nc29 which I believe are the same axle size as the Rgv ,NK Racing is going all the machining work he's the man to ask. Bryan Haynes is doing the build for me as my mechanical no how is pretty limited .
been a while since Ive had anything to show, stuff has come back from Ceramic Coaters. Hope to get it on its wheels over this weekend, providing a few wheel bearing oil seals arrive. Untitled by Bryan Haynes, on Flickr Untitled by Bryan Haynes, on Flickr
