My clutch seems to be locking up when i first start the bike for that day As soon as i put it in gear it just stals like i havent pulled the clutch in . When its initially released it seems fine and rides as normal . I took the basket of and filed down the ridges made by the plates but its still doing the same I have ebs friction plates, hd ebc springs and use 10 40 oil . I have some play between the final drive and the basket of about 4 mil which i believe is normal .and no metalic clunking from the dampers
It been fine for ever with this set up , no drag , no slipping etc etc
Any ideas chaps

It's the plates or rubbers sticking together for some reason, my YPVS engine does exactly the same, mine even does it if I only leave the bike for a few hours on the same day. It was rebuilt not that long ago, it's nothing to do with the type of oil, because mine does it with EP80, 10w/30 mineral or Motul Transoil I'm not taking it apart again, I'll just live with it until it comes apart again for another reason..... What I do before I start the bike is......, have it in first gear, pull the clutch in and rock the bike a couple of time to free it off, then start it. Bloody thing

Can happen
Try slipping the f*ck out the clutch to wear the plates a little and get a load of heat in it.
My TSX had the same problem but worse
When it stuck I had to start the bike then roll it down my drive and slip it into 1st gear and get it out onto the road and shift clutchless into 4th then roll on and off the throttle till it broke free.
Reckoned it must have been to it lying unused and the plates soaking up the oil and becoming spongy so would bind
New plates will solve it
