I have never seen this before as I expect a window in place, forgive my ignorance but is this a alternative to a window or a proper fix? is a window available? I found one of these clippy windows last week on an LC 250 master cyl and thought it was a bodge, but then picked up another master on Saturday and its the same. I really thought it was some bodge but Im starting to think its OEM now Ive seen more than one. I wonder if you can buy replacement plastic and O rings for them? The other style you glue in is ok, but the clip works it seems.

Jon I have a number of the clip type LC master cylinders they have all been powder coated and the original windows and seal re-fitted and never had a leak never seen any replacement parts for this type of window. I also have a couple of later N1\F2 cylinders that need a new glass fitting when I get round to it.
