I think the front part of where the base gasket would sit is like an F2 or later casing, not like a 31K. There is extra metal there, which matches to some of the big bore Banshee top ends better. Can you post a pic looking down at that area?.....found your pic :- 118

Read a thread on rz forum about this Was claimed banshee cases thicker and Will take trenching for +10 crank Ypvs cases max +7 crank Carl I've got a set of Banshee cases that have had the work done to take a +10mm crank and also have a set of YPVS cases with +7mm crank. The Banshee cases definitely have a far deeper section than the YPVS ones and I doubt there is enough thickness left on the YPVS cases to machine for the longer-throw crank.

yep, if you try and do 10mm on ypvs you will break through or weaken them to the point that they will fail under use

I,ll get a gauge on them both when I get the time... just by visual eyeballing them I can see a difference when there side by side.. I remember trinity saying even some banshee cases needed epoxying after trenching for 10mm cranks...There again maybe they done it just too safe guard..
