I ask in question because the r125lc 1GM has a riveted three peace gear which mine has a lot of play in it but the rd 125lc 10W has a one peace gear

Does the rivetted one have some free-play to act as a damper?
There are both types on ebay.
As said- the balance shaft for all models has the same part number- so I would have thought that internal diameter, that fixes to the balance shaft, for the gears should be the same.

The rivets look like they are really warn so the gear is wobbleing and not due to being lose on the shaft
