Hi all, You might of seen from my first post ( rd125lc mk2 restoration) my RD125LC I'm restoring. My first question is this, is my Micron exhaust beyond repair and if not what's the best way to go about restoring it?

Looks quite good from here I think others have restored worse. get it blasted and cut out any scrapes or rot then get a fabricator to weld in new metal polish then a rechrome. If the downpipe is gone maybe weld a downpipe on there from an imported standard pipe thats damaged elsewhere. Youd have to do a dry build with the frame and motor and right hanger in that case

Hi anyone know who will re-chrome an old micron, mine needs doing also its just the down pipe but thats gone really but I've heard its hard to get them to dip them cos the oil contaminates their vats ? Nottingham area would be handy too !
