Another stupid question shaft that clutch lever connects to and goes into engine how'd you get it out without being a ham fisted got and busting it tried heat on the casing n pulling but to no avail does it come out in a certain position ?

you mean the push lever the cable joins to ? you just pull them out of crankcase by turning them 90 degrees until you feel it give, sometimes they can be stuck and youll have to split cases to find out why. something bent, overheated burred etc

Cases are split as I'm renewing all bearings n seals looks like it's butted up will investigate further tomorrow cheers again mike

Keep us updated what it was. there was a small burr on the casing dressed it off with emery cloth warmed the casing up and used a brass drift few swift taps and she was out yippee
