I noticed I have a small gear change rod/ arm linkage on the gear changer,don't look right and feels tight, I have a mate he as a long rod fitted, mine a mk1 Y reg,
So do you get them with long linkage arm and slight kink in the gear changer, and a short rod with the curved gear lever?

The only thing I noticed different was the splined shift arm piece. The arm was welded in a new place on the MK2s. The the rod and lever stayed the same. This is confirmed by checking the part numbers on different fiches. The splined piece has a supersceeded number.

Right ok mate, have you a gear change linkage set up for sale, I currently have a short arm set up on the bike but some thing not right and may be as you have pointed out the spline shift piece..

MK1 top MK2 bottom both interchangeable as I mentioend above.  |

Like you say it's about the spline bracket mate,I Sen three different types , I currently have the top one new, but may try the bottom mk2 type how much ya asking.posted.
