Indeed. I never knew they had the airbox & rear pegs missing as standard.
Anyone guess what the 2 bits welded to the back of the swinging arm are for?

Nice patina, dents to tank, paint flaking off, engine bored out to 2mm o/size, sounds like its on its last legs to me
What's he on, KR signature transfers are easily found

He's normally quite reasonable with his prices considering he's a Trader. On that one, he's talking a load of old tosh for a massively over-priced bike

It's on another topic about chancers, they really are taking the piss the problem is if you don't know lc's you may get caught up and buy it

yep agreed, this is way ott. Is he right about this being an actual model as standard for the US market? It might just be a standard model with a paint job?

I've seen a few of these 6-7k RD's advertised, but none ever seem to go at that price, I wonder if anyone actually pays it?

Remember seeing that on Ebay while it was still in the USA and seem to remember it went for about $5000 or thereabouts.

I've sussed it ! Those brackets welded to the swinger were for wheely bars when it was used as a drag bike in its formative years hence its got big bore pistons and filters for extra power 😂

The big bore thing is nonsense Imo. A lot of rz yams in the US have toomey kits which comprises of pipes, filters needles and jetting mods , all to be purchased from toomey . When i bought mine it was done this way and ive spent ages searching out original parts to bring it back to standard spec. The toomey set up does work well howver call me a anorack if you will but i like standard . I spotted also there is no rear grab rail , he is dreaming at that price as mentioned before with some transfers and paint any rz could be passed of as a gen KR rep . At the end of the day the bike is no different to any other lc 2 out there just the color.

I'm no expert on this model but are the carbs correct, take a look at the carb tops ??. Yes tHinksey they are correct The bike is supposed to have catalytic converters so has different carbs as they are non adjustable The red catalyst warning light on the clocks gives it away Steve

As far as I know the other states had the same carbs, they have a closing cable as well as an opening one - a USA requirement.

Cut down number plate holder and same with the rear mudguard, and I'm not sure that the RH switch gear is correct.

I have never seen one of his bikes at a "reasonable price" he is a lunatic trying to get the prices he advertises, unless of course someone buys it and then they become the lunatics !
I like the pipes though and it looks quite clean, odd being on + 2mm bore size, I remember the rich kids racing the LC,s back in the day used to go maximum oversize for the bit of extra performance (every MPH was important at proddy racing)
