I've never understood why batteries are so expensive plastic / lead / acid. Not in precious metal territory here 😳

Not in precious metal territory here 😳 Tis true that but....... if you just think about the manufacturing process to produce the battery, the overheads of the company, packaging and shipping to the re-seller, then advertising costs/fees, then more packaging and shipping costs to ship to the end-user, how does that all happen for £12.99 ?  |

I have just ordered a YTZ10S for my Fireblade as my 2nd Motobatt died after 18 months.... £20.99 which is not too bad if it lasts a year!

There will be NO fire from this battery  Woke up this morning to a Paypal refund and a message from the seller saying the battery was out of stock and they weren't getting any more WTF ? lol |

Another reason to hate ebay.
By issuing a full refund and cancelling the tansaction the seller has fulfilled all obligations in their eyes.

Weird, cos he still has 18 separate adverts for YB4L-BS batteries, all with multiple units available, yet he claims he doesn't have any ?. I've asked him what he's up to, and if I don't get a satisfactory answer, he can have another negative feedback to go with his others |

I was thinking about getting one of these myself, can you use a standard battery charger and or Optimate with them how well do they stand up to storage while the bike is off the road ??.
