I dont care mate, I have an original Yes if it means we dont have to pay £400 plus, actually £300 isn't that far off being a decent price

White ones tend to be cheaper, mine is white, there is obviously a market for them, I have seen nos advertised for £500 plus

Be nice if someone makes a repro that looks something like the original. Every modified seat I've seen before never looks quite right. Either too bulbous at the rear or too thick at the point they curve up

£300 is nearer to the price I think they are worth too, so many genuine seat sellers of late have inflated ideas of what they are worth, but as the old saying goes, "if someone is willing to pay " more competion and options will hopefully bring the price down to make them more of an option.

Paid £265 for mine last month. It's an original in black. I still think that £300 for a reproduction item is a bit steep.

The underneath looks a bit brown for my liking. My original ones are white. Not sure about the rivets holding the cover on either....

Norton commando andover norton. New repo 143.00 steel not plastic...maybe that's the reason they're relatively cheap by comparison. For Commando..not Yam in case you were getting excited..

Yes what are the bases made from ?
If it's fibreglass then they are a poor copy

you can clearly see its a fiberglass base that will be why they are riveted. I thijnk they will still sell well as a copy seat. but the tghing i have never liked about them is that the melted Paten is very light compared to originals some look quit smooth .

I did want one but as Looey says they never look quite right & no way would I pay what genuine ones fetch, I have come full circle & prefer the original seat now. Plus I can't spell or pronounce the name properly
