Yes, i have recently fitted one to my MK3. You have to open the inlet right up using a dremel or die grinder on both sides, top and bottom + fit 2 reed spacers , it's a daunting job, however well worth it once completed. I have yet to get my barrel back as Norbo is reboring it, however ad (rd125lc85) has fitted one to his and it gives a good power gain.

Yeah you do very almost touch the monoshock! However ad (rd125lc85) is using the 26mm derestricted mk2 rd carb with k&n and filter spacer and it does come mighty close to the shock however does not restrict it's operation. Ad hasn't had the big bore conversion, he's on around his 5th oversize i think. When grinding out the barrel inlet, its not actually the ports a such your touching, it's the area either side the reedvalve sit's in, you have to take out around 2mm either side otherwise the v force won't sit in as its to narrow as standard + take meat out of the top and bottom (bottom mainly) so the reed's can open to their best potential. It is a gruelling job and you do come close to going through the side if your not careful, however all the effort does pay off!

could you leave out the reed block spacer and use a spacer tube on the back of the carb also you could reprofile the back of reed stops to get even more lift

No, it's essensial you fit the two reed spacers otherwise you wont be able to fit the V-force into the barrel, as the the barrel tapers in towards the ports.
