Hi all I have just won a mk3 on eBay the chap says it has no spark so I am asking is the cdi the same on the mk2 and the mk3 only asking as I have a mk2 I can try some bits of to see what the problem is it cdi and coil if that are the same

mk2 1gm cdi is different to a mk3 1gu cdi. both bikes use the same stator plate but use a different fly wheel as the stroke of the engine is longer on a mk3 1gu. i hope this helps.

actually the stator plates are all so not the same but yes the problem will be ether 1 or the other or both. The stator can be rewound . west county windings but its a replacement cdi you will need if thats the problem . The TZR 125 has the same stroke and a simuler stator and cdi they look identical but are not the same they will work but you need both matching with a fly wheel if using TZR parts

the chap says the the frame and engine start 1gm not 1gu

Hi so if I use a tzr stator I will need the fly whell and cdi or just the fly whell And if it is the cdi I can just put a tzr one on using my rd staor and fly whell

if you use tzr you n eed everything no you cant just fit a tzr dci .
