I too really don't understand why people are put off imports if the bike is straight n engine sound I don't see the problem , at the end of the day these machines where probably all owned by the intended market 125cc ( learners ) etc i.m.h.o ... And ironically back in the day we were all after an European spec bike on UK plates. If you buy an import- its unrestricted/ full power- or how Yamaha intended it to be. Not choking to death with UK restriction. I remember my Dad going mad when I unrestricted my LC. In short, I told him this is how the engine should run and no pathetic car driving politician is going to tell me otherwise. He still bollo**ed me, but being an engineer he secretly agreed. It still aint worth 5K

Deffo agree that bike not worth 5k , was generally refer to all imports regardless of CC , Japan market has/had so many desirable models that the UK generally didn,t ..
