They're even trying to get £4k for the least desirable model of Fireblade ever made and it's in the worst colours they ever did ! Some of their advert prices are nearly as funny was watching the Two Ronnies

I have seen this bike in their shop today, It looks proper, and has lot's of paperwork with it, Tis a lot of money, but I bet it sells, as there ain't another one for sale in this country that's as nice, as I have been looking for a really nice one for 18 months. If anyone has got one as good as this then I will be a buyer for it!

Thanks guiri, will pm museuman Actually, I was paying attention and "Tis a lot of money" does not carry the same meaning as, the asking price is a complete over-inflated joke. However rare its condition, RD125LC's do not command that sort of money but as they say, anything is worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. Good luck with with making a deal on it anyway

5k... get away. I like the add "we are Classic Jap Two Stroke Fanatics - We love them." Love them so much, you'll deliberately inflate Two Stroke prices. Sound great- real and honest enthusiasts.

Is that a bubble in the paint on the left hand side of the tank just behind the open end bottom part of decal scripe ?. It's either a reflection in the pic or it's just about to spout fuel ?

No mirrors and the old clock protectors bars that I had on my 350 Lc back in the 1980's bought from Stan Stephens.

Ive got 3 candy blue bikes some with half the mileage of that one, mine have original factory tyres and sprockets, no-one wants them because they're "IMPORTS"! I say they're all imported from Japan! I understand people like UK bikes with all the history, sentiment etc, but theres only two UK bikes I know of that have been stored in such away all these years that they can still be presented as originals. They were White ones posted on here, one was in a bubble sack. Once you apply paint and mirror polish the alloys you lose something IMO, but obviously we did that back in the day, so theres a period for everyone. Most of the original look 125s are re-built using my low mile 'imported' parts anyway, Ive got 3 UK bikes which are scrap, and will eventually be 'imports' on UK frames.

Tis true all that Depends what you want to do with them also. Do you want to sit and look at them and tell everyone about your matching numbers unrestored UK bike, or get out and just enjoy riding them. My current white Mk1 10W matching numbers bike is a Swiss import, so has the steering lock on the headstock. Doesn't bother me at all, but I only paid £300 for the bike and probably have a total investment including the professional paintwork of around £800. The Candy blue I purchased brand new in December 1983, I chromed the side stand and sprayed the wheels gold before it turned a wheel

the import crack has some confusion attached i think.. when a bike is basicly the same as are rd125lc from diffent countrys its shouldnt matter. the stigma for imports i think is when its like the rz500 which has less bhp than the rd500.. american 70,s jap bikes with high bars and different mudguards and so.. were what people originaly shuned.. but then all the imports fell in the same sack..

The only difference that can put people off (the same as with the 250LC & 350LC) is that the steering lock is not integral to the ignition on most imports and is a separate lump of metal on the left side of the headstock.

I too really don't understand why people are put off imports if the bike is straight n engine sound I don't see the problem , at the end of the day these machines where probably all owned by the intended market 125cc ( learners ) etc i.m.h.o ...

And ironically back in the day we were all after an European spec bike on UK plates. If you buy an import- its unrestricted/ full power- or how Yamaha intended it to be. Not choking to death with UK restriction. I remember my Dad going mad when I unrestricted my LC. In short, I told him this is how the engine should run and no pathetic car driving politician is going to tell me otherwise. He still bollo**ed me, but being an engineer he secretly agreed. It still aint worth 5K
