Hi, And that's what I'm asking for- a miracle Needed: LC 125 tank- rust free. The one I have is an endless rust bucket. I have already treated it with Spirit of Salts, prior to tank lining, to lift the worse rust. That was fun, it was smoking like a witches cauldron! The amount of fine rust particles that have come out and still are is shocking. In between treatments, I lined the tank with oil and it still continued to rust! This tank is a living rust entity I have no alternative of tank lining, yet I'm not convinced, that the eco friendly rust treatment solution will do the job and lift all the rust. So if I line a tank with rust still in it, the liner will lift and fail in no-time. I was going to go with Por 15 Any experience of this issue, advise, or a tank for sale is appreciated

There's 2 on eBay that look worth a punt, as by the sounds of yours I'd be throwing that in the bin and not wasting your time or the money on trying to line it.
There's a blue one for £80 that looks like it's ok, and a black one for £115 that looks pretty good ?.

Your right- I have one sick rusty tank and those tanks look half decent, especially the black one. It's always a bit of a risk with ebay. It's down to the sellers interpretation of a solid rust free tank. Then it arrives and there's rust on the seams at the bottom of the tank. Back to square one again and £40 squid for a tank liner kit... I thought I would ask on here because we are enthusiasts- if a member does a tank for sale, at least I would have an honest description of the tank and probably a fairer price.

I hear your pain The black tank is from a big breakers and there are pretty good high resolution pictures of the inside, underneath and of the seams. If you buy from them and it isn't good or doesn't hold fuel you can just return it ?. That's what I'd do.

If the tank leaks- chuck it back at them. There is a certain amount of protection with ebay.

Hi, lots of weird and wonderful ways to get the rust out. Best to start off getting the big lumps out first by dropping a length of that jack chain they use to hang industrial lights from into the tank, B&Q sell it, and it is usually beside the rope and stuff like that Iyou cut to whatever length u want. Drop a length of that inside and keep shaking for as long as u can be arsed. There are other ways to get the rust out, how does it look inside after rattling some jack chain about inside it ? Steven.
