I have a 350lc which had a dent in the silencer on the left hand side of the pipe .The pipe is original and in good nick for 35 years old.
I have had the dent filled with brass, but is not 100%.
Is there any heat resistant filler i can buy just to finish it off, sand it down and paint to get the shape back.
The repair is good but just missing a bit better smoother finish.

I'm sure you can get a hi heat JB wield, I bought some off eBay. It comes like a Swiss roll you cut it to length and mix it together its a putty not resin

As long as it is on the rear half jb weld will sort it Steve I have used regular JB weld to smooth over the weld repairs I did on my small can Allspeeds a few years ago , it worked out real well. Never cracked/fell out/ melted since I did them. heat black paint seems to take to it fine also. Nothing to loose giving it a go.

I use Chemical Metal by Plastic Padding.
It's heat resistant and very easy to fill with, as it's fairly fluid after it's mixed with the hardener.
Done several pipes in the past and a couple I have now, always been good.
