My mate is trying to insure his 1989 rd125lc mk3 , but the compare sites say it's a rdz is this the same bike , anyone else had this problem , and what did you do ? , cheers

hi i think that the RZ125LC is the same as our british RD125LC but was produced for the european market but hopefully someone with more knowledge will put us right.

I think 'RDZ' is just a nickname or codename picked up. Japan called them 'RZ's. I hear "RDZ" mostly up north, even Granby's referred to my 1GU as an 'RDZ' but the european ones are def 'RD's, it's on the VIN and foreign logbooks.
there is and RDZ for the Asian market with spoke wheels, twin shock aircooled with similar chassis
